- Overall responsibility of management of an assigned caseload.
- Be familiar with current state laws, court directives, and Department policies and procedures and apply them to case management or other situations as they develop.
- Completes all necessary actions for supervision of new cases including initial interview, explanation of conditions of bond.
- Conducts regular office visits and jail visits as required by Department policy and as circumstances warrant.
- Assures that all money owed is collected and properly recorded.
- Uses all necessary tools of supervision available to the pre-trial officer such as electronic monitoring, urinalysis, office visits, contact with collateral individuals or agencies or any other condition ordered by the Court. (Directly observe and collect urinalysis samples from offenders of the same gender.)
- Monitors compliance/non-compliance and submits required reports to the District Attorney's Office and to the Courts.
- Completes all required documentation as directed by Department policy.
- Attends court as directed for hearings and provides testimony as required.
- Assures that all information contained in the computer on all cases is current and entered in a timely manner.
- Prepares reports as required by the Department.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Department Director.
- Must be able to complete work accurately and independently.
- CSCD Employees are further responsible for maintaining confidentiality of information, maintaining professional relations while engaging in job related tasks, cooperating with others to resolve conflict and achieve goals, and maintaining a pleasant attitude.

- Must be US citizen or have legal immigrant status.
- Must speak, read and write English fluently
- Must be able to communicate effectively with all types of people
- Must have strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Must pass a background check.
- Must complete a psychological evaluation and pass a drug test.
- Cannot be employed as a peace officer or work as a reserve or volunteer peace officer; and cannot currently be on community supervision, parole, or serving a sentence for a criminal offense.
