- Record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest.
- Loads/unload truck and set up cylinders for use.
- Perform pre and post trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies utilizing Airgas forms and ensures all safety items are in good working order.
- You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the client's supply inventory to include deliveries and management programs, establishing safe handling practices, manage, efficient order processing & invoicing, initiating & executing cost reduction programs, reporting and day-to-day customer interface at the client location
- The Local Delivery Driver - Construction Specialist will be the first line Airgas representative with the customer for all cylinders, consumables, and safety supplies related issues.
- Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement. Current Medical Examiner's Card.
- Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
- Must be able to work occasional overtime if necessary.
- Inventory Control experience including ordering, stocking and maintaining cost effective inventory levels.
- Moderate computer knowledge.
- Ability to move large amounts of inventory.

As the "face of Airgas," the Local Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company-provided straight or box truck.
As a Local Delivery Driver at Airgas, you will be a part of a professional team that encourages internal mobility while offering our employees a work/life balance.
Most vehicles are under 6 years old and equipped with driver-friendly technology, such as On Board Computers, collision avoidance technology, latest camera technology and GPS navigation.
Local Delivery Driver - Construction SpecialistMonday through Friday, local deliveries. Straight Truck - Class A or B CDL with Hazmat Endorsement required.
You will deliver compressed gas cylinders, liquid cylinders and hard goods to temporary construction sites and remote operations on a scheduled daily route.
Must have one year of Class A or B CDL driving experience within the last 5 years or have graduated from an accredited driving school.

Airgas follows the FMSCA requirement for all motor carrier employers to run full queries of the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse database for any violations during the pre-employment process for all new CDL Driver Hires to ensure they are not prohibited from performing safety-sensitive functions.
All new CDL Driver Hires must register for the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse and allow Airgas consent to review their Clearinghouse record.
