Description

We are expanding our services and hiring a full-time Day Habilitation Specialist in Johnston.

M-F, daytime hours, up to $18/hour plus $2000 in bonuses The Day Habilitation Specialist supports the skill development and retention for young adults.

This team member will provide or assist with care needs and supervision in a group setting.

• Up to $18/hour
• Monday - Friday, 8:45am - 3:30pm
• Full-time, benefits eligible role

What You'll Do

• Provide direct care and assist assigned individuals with accessing the community and increasing independence with communication, socialization and daily living skills
• Implement individual's care plans and provide ongoing feedback regarding additional or changing care plan needs to child's supervisor or Day Hab Supervisor
• Required to become certified for medication administration, seizures, and g-tube feedings as well as other specialized trainings as identified
• Assure timely and accurate documentation

What You'll Need

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must pass criminal and child abuse background checks
• Must be willing to provide transportation as a ChildServe authorized driver and obtain a chauffer's license. This includes passing a motor vehicle record check and car safety check and able to provide a valid driver's license and insurance
• Good oral and written communication skills and have the ability to accurately document all observations, significant events, and services provided.
• Education:

High school diploma preferred

• Experience:

Experience working with or knowledge of children with special health care needs preferred

• Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
