    Description

    Sedron Technologies is hiring a talented Mechanical Designer

    Sedron Technologies designs and manufactures advanced water, and waste upcycling technologies that transform the paradigm of Waste Processing to Resource Recovery.     Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position:

    • Participate in the design of custom industrial equipment including 3D CAD, production quality 2D drawings, engineering reviews, work order preparation, and procurement
    • Ensure compliance with company standards and relevant professional codes, also ensuring proper CAD data handling/storage
    • Generate properly constrained, well-organized assemblies and the corresponding machining, welding and assembly drawings with GD&T as required, and bill of materials
    • Excel in a fast-paced product development environment to take designs from concept through production
    • Learn new skills quickly and take complete ownership of assigned tasks
    • Be responsible for ensuring materials are organized and ready for manufacturing, including carrying out purchasing activities
    • Interface with manufacturing to ensure parts meet specified requirements
    • Prioritize duties and responsibilities in order to fulfill objectives
    • Demonstrate the ability to work individually and within a multidisciplinary team, communicating and collaborating with technicians and engineers alike
    • Comply with all safety, 5S, and HazMat practices
    • Work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
    • Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors
    • Demonstrate passion and excitement for solving difficult yet exciting tasks
    • Maintain good organization skills
    • Perform other related duties as assigned

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    • Associate degree in mechanical engineering technology or a related field, relevant certifications and/or experience can be substituted for a degree
    • Two or more years of relevant experience in a professional setting
    • Experience with NX or equivalent 3D CAD software
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software
    • Proficiency with basic engineering mathematics
    • Experience with ASME Y , ASME BPVC and ability to complete code calculations is preferred
    • Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED
    • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    • Wage range for this role is between $30.00-$40.00/hourly
    • Discretionary bonus
    • Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay.
    • The range provided is Sedron's estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.

    Must be a US Citizen or legal permanent resident for this position. We are unable to sponsor any employment visas.
