Medical Laboratory Technician – MLT

Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire

Setting: Outpatient/Laboratory - Hematology

Location: Franklin, TN and Spring Hill, TN

Schedule: Full Time, Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm

Pay: based on experience plus full benefits to include parking, PTO, paid holidays, 401k and more

The Medical Laboratory Technologist will perform routine and specialized clinical lab tests for use in diagnosis and treatment of patients by physicians.

Duties to include but may not be limited to:

• Properly collects blood samples from venous and capillary sites as required by the clinic
• Performs laboratory testing and operates automated equipment within the limits described in the procedure manual
• Performs quality control procedure to ensure accuracy of clinical data
• Reports and responds to physician inquiries regarding lab results
• Adheres to CLIA compliance requirements
• Will perform other duties as assigned by the Laboratory Medical Director, Lab Manager, or office manager to include scheduling, ordering of supplies from preferred vendors, etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Current State of Tennessee Medical Laboratory Technician MLT license REQUIRED
• At least 1 year of laboratory experience required
• Excellent phlebotomy skills
• Outpatient experience strongly preferred; hematology is a plus
• An Associates degree or higher in Medical Lab Technology / Science
