    Position Summary

    The position will be responsible for the development of the strategy, design and implementation of Community Outreach. This will entail strategic expansion into the surrounding communities and is critical in developing, strengthening and sustaining relationships externally with the Hospital and community groups and organizations. Clinical experience is a plus.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities Includes the Following:
    1. Understands and adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors.
    2. Helps develop new programs and events to support the Healthy Community Initiative.
    3. Manages community outreach coordinator and works closely with internal and external volunteers.
    4. Works to ID new opportunities to partner with local businesses, colleges and schools to provide prevention and wellness education and support business development.
    5. Collaborate with the team to develop programs to bring new groups into the hospital for tours, lectures, events (i.e. quarterly real estate agents sessions).
    6. Represent the hospital in the community.
    7. Oversees strategy and execution around outreach efforts.
    8. Oversees Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) survey and implementation plan as well as activities to support CHNA.
    9. Work with community organizations, local leaders, and advocacy groups to address the social determinants of health and co-create solutions that benefit the community.
    10. Performs all other related duties as assigned.
    Education & Experience Requirements
    • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's degree preferred.
    • Clinical experience (such as nursing) preferred.
    • Five years' experience in healthcare setting.
