    Description
    Job Responsibilities


    • The Tax intern will provide assistance with tax compliance matters while gaining general experience and exposure to the functions of a corporate tax department.

    Specifically, the responsibilities will include the following:

    • Calculating federal, state and city quarterly estimated tax payments.
    • Preparing federal, state and city income tax returns.
    • Researching and assisting with the resolution of state notices.
    • Reconciling fixed assets, updating the fixed asset database, and generating reports for tax filings.
    • Reconciling and uploading state apportionment factors.
    • Assisting with the provision process.
    • Researching federal and state tax issues.
    • Assisting with special projects as needed.
    Required Skills / Knowledge


    • Strong communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage work and meet internal and statutory deadlines.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    Experience


    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. Teams, Outlook, Excel and Word).
    • Experience with Corptax is a plus.
    Education Requirements


    • The candidate for this position should be working toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting with completion of Intermediate Accounting.
