    Description

    The role provides the technical input and project management activities to successfully identify and implement process and machinery improvement projects in line with the strategic intent of the business.

    To provide technical resource support to egnineering craft disciplines across the business to ensure that product quality, safety, and overall equipment targets are improved constantlhy.

    Our client is a well-established player in the consumer goods industry, known for its quality products, global presence, and commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.

    They are primarily engaged in the production and distribution of beverages, especially tea, coffee, and water, as well as non-alcoholic beverages and snacks.

    Managing projects through the full project business lifecycle from Concept to Benefits Realisation. Idea generation to improve business quality, cost, delivery safety.
    Generation of User Requirements Specifications (URS) for product / equipment/ services.
    Generation of detailed project plans


    Implementation:
    Machinery introduction in line with company standards with respect to safety (Food & Health), product quality and production output
    Controlling project budgets to within the agreed tolerances
    Reporting and communicating project progress within the business

    An analytical approach using data, with excellent problem solving skills including the ability to investigate, understand and solve key issues.

    Bachelor's Degree in an Mechanical or Electrical Control Engineering field
    Minimal 3 years relevant experience as Engineering Project Engineer in (food) Manufacturing.
    AutoCAD experience (Preference)

    Project Management:
    Planning and organising skills through project management.
    Commercial awareness with ability to write business case.
    Control of Contractors/Permit to Work Process
    Risk assessment understanding for health and safety disciplines /Job Safety Analysis (Sign off on JSA from vendors and contractors)
    Lean Manufacturing (Preference)
    Audit training for health and safety disciplines
    Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
