    About the Internship

    The paid Civil Engineering-Design Technician/CAD Internship offers students the opportunity to fully immerse in the day-to-day design activities in our Water, Transportation, Land Development, and Government Services Business Lines. Throughout the program, students will build upon their current skill sets and work in a collaborative environment, while learning from subject matter experts in the organization. They will participate in numerous phases of projects that work toward the opportunity to learn, grow and find the best path forward for personal success.     Requirements

    • The Intern must be pursuing a degree or certificate program in Design Drafting, Computer Aided Drafting, Drafting Technology, or other similar program
    • Must have basic knowledge of office software (Word, Excel, etc.) and be capable of working with CADD software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microstation

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in completing drawings from sketches, plans, specifications, and written/verbal instruction using computer-aided drafting programs
    • Assist in revising or changing drawings and completing standard calculations with specific instructions and feedback
    • Work under the guidance of more experienced design technicians and/or engineers to complete assigned work
    • Review work for completeness and accuracy

    Compensation$15-26/hrThe expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and California's SB 1162. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, skills, prior work experience, competencies, and geographic work location. The total annual compensation package may consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate, after a qualifying period, in our performance and discretionary incentive bonus program(s).
