    Description
    The Reliability Engineer is directly responsible for maintaining and controlling maintenance spare parts for the plant operations.

    This position is responsible for the day to day operations including stocking, pulling, and issuing spare parts along with providing assistance to plant personnel when identifying and locating spare parts.

    Role and Responsibilities
    Dedicated to providing quality service for internal and external customers.
    Adhere to company and departmental procedures for safety, conduct, and training.
    Properly store, segregate, and protect materials, parts and supplies.
    Ensure accuracy of parts issued.
    Follow proper procedures when stocking, issuing, and disposing of all spare parts.
    Follow proper procedures when issuing and receiving spare parts
    Follow proper procedures for performing inventory counts and audits.
    Provide emergency support for locating and ordering out of stock and/or obsolete critical parts.

    Support plant from a spare parts prospective by required spare parts, reviewing safety stock to insure sufficient stock is on hand to support preventative maintenance activities, updating changes.

    Assist with the utility outages as well as long-term maintenance schedules.
    Support spare parts ordering and cost saving initiatives.
    Communicate clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles within all levels of the organization. Be able to communicate and negotiate with internal and external customers as related to spare parts sourcing and procurement.
    Qualifications and Education Requirements
    A two or four year degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
    A minimum of five years of Managerial experience in a steel producing and rolling environment.
    Preferred Skills
    Strong abilities in managing an hourly Union workforce a plus.
    Must believe in standardization and a zealot on Safety.

    Must have strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify potential problems and be proactive in addressing issues before they become problematic.

    Must possess strong leadership and communication skills.
    Able to utilize computer software such MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel.
    Be proficient at internet searches utilizing Internet Explorer

    Proficient with Excel and Oracle
