    Assistant Director of International Admissions (Hybrid)

    About the Position and University

    Join the team at UMass Amherst as the Assistant Director of International Admissions in a hybrid work setting.

    Job Description

    As the Assistant Director of International Admissions, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing undergraduate international student recruitment efforts.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Develop and implement recruitment strategies for designated regions, collaborating with admissions staff and university partners.
    • Create plans to drive application and enrollment growth among international students.
    • Manage regional budgets and evaluate event effectiveness to meet targets.
    • Conduct recruitment travel, represent the university, and deliver presentations at various events.
    • Participate in application review processes and provide immigration information to students.
    • Collaborate on strategic planning and support long-term recruitment initiatives.
    • Act as a project manager for assigned programs and work closely with internal teams.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree and at least one year of experience in international admissions.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze applications and uphold admission standards.
    • Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and proficiency in relevant technologies.
    • Capacity to work independently and within a team to achieve objectives.
    Additional Qualifications
    • Desirable to be bilingual and have knowledge of international education systems.
    • Experience with customer relations management systems and possession of a driver's license are advantageous.
    Working Conditions and Schedule
    • Office-based role with occasional evening, weekend, and international travel requirements.
    • Opportunity for a hybrid work schedule, subject to collective bargaining terms.
    • Standard work hours from Monday to Friday.
