    Description

    To all motivated, team and goal oriented candidates Dermatology & Laser Surgery Center(DLSC) is in search of a positive, professional and upbeat Front Office Specialist to join our team

    DLSC is a private dermatology office located in the Museum District with four board-certified dermatologists and 1 esthetician who are experienced and skilled in a range of dermatological procedures, including surgical and non-surgical techniques. Our 9,000-square-foot office boasts state-of-the-art equipment, including over twenty laser and light sources.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

    Check-in duties:

    ·Greets all patients and guests upon arrival for their appointment(s).

    ·Monitors and manages the flow of visitors to ensure we deliver optimal patient care and timely service.

    ·Reviews patient's Klara account and exports any necessary documents and/or consents. Obtains any missing documents and/or ID's upon arrival. Scans into Nextech.

    ·Update all demographic information in Nextech.

    ·Communicates account information to patients regarding balances or credits on their accounts.

    Check-out duties:

    ·Processes all payments due after services rendered.

    ·Ensures all items that are marked on the superbill are priced, totaled and appropriate monies collected from patient.

    · Assists with product sales, product check out and answers any patient's questions.

    ·Schedules f/up visits as needed.

    ·Processes medical records request as indicated by the provider.

    Additional duties:

    ·Assists in the scheduling and confirmation of patients, maintains updated patient charts and facilitates communication with physician and clinical staff on status of patient's appointment.

    ·Stays up to date with patient correspondence in Klara.

    ·Keeps patient waiting area, numbing room and work space clean, neat and organized at all times.

    ·Opening/ closing duties.

    ·Communicates with the back office regarding pharmaceutical reps and vendors. Assists the back office staff with faxing and ad-hoc projects.

    ·Collects and sends the mail each day. Unpacks inventory shipments and stocks product cabinet.

    ·Verifies insurance and keeps track of all PA's and predeterminations needed for patient's treatment.

    ·Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

    ·Minimum 2 years medical experience required, dermatology experience is strongly desired

    ·Working knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations

    ·Call Center and insurance verification experience is a plus

    ·Nextech and/or EMR software experience is required

    ·Self-directed and able to work independently

    ·Friendly and courteous at all times

    ·Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills

    ·Uses consistent good judgment and discretion

    · Passionate about the beauty and aesthetic industry

    · Aptitude to perform cosmetic and medical responsibilities

    · Experience delivering high quality customer service to affluent patients

    · Caring, empathic and patient

    · Positive attitude, flexibility to work with different personalities, and proven ability to work as team.

    · Warm, friendly, outgoing personality and professional appearance

    · Ability to prioritize and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while still sensitive to special patient concerns and needs in cosmetic dermatology.

    · Self-starter: desire to learn required skills and take initiative in your training.

    · Strong work ethic: report to work on time, committed to delivering the best medical and customer service experience, willing to go the extra mile for both co-workers and patients.

    · Schedule flexibility: ability to work M-F with no hour restrictions.

    · Ability to work under moderate supervision both independently and as part of a team

    · Demonstrated ability to work in a pleasant and professional manner with patients, coworkers, and supervisors.

    HOURS: Monday through Friday 730a – 6pm
