    Position Purpose

    The position provides critical support to the Family Office managing the initial preparation of financial statements, cash flow modeling, income tax planning and tax returns.

    The position reports to the Senior Vice President-Family Operations, but also performs work under the general supervision of others in the department.

    Key Responsibilities
    Accounting
    Assist with maintenance and review of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and timely preparation, review and approval of accounts payable, bank reconciliations, financials statements, liquidity forecasts and annual budgets
    Assist and review with cash management activities, including monitoring cash balances, managing bill payments, developing cash forecasts, coordinating wire transfers with financial institutions, and managing annual reporting requirements
    Prepare and contribute to creation of monthly and quarterly stakeholder reporting packages and ad-hoc reports, as needed
    Interface with service providers on day-to-day transactions, including financial management, banking and lending, risk management/insurance needs and issues, employee benefits and payroll, loan amortization schedule preparation and review, among others
    Tax
    Assist with preparation and review of tax workpapers, returns and tax basis schedules for individuals, trusts, flow-through entities and other income tax filings
    Ensure other tax filings, such as 1099's, Secretary of State filings, and quarterly estimates, are filed and completed in a timely manner
    Assist with the review, preparation and response to Internal Revenue Service and state Department of Revenue tax notices
    Contribute to estate and income tax planning process where applicable
    Other
    Assist in maintaining electronic filing system
    Assist with keeping minute books up-to-date
    Assist with appraisal information
    Assist with investment documents and execution
    Assist with special projects, as assigned
    Supervisory Responsibilities

    • Liaise and develop strong working relationships with internal service team members and oversee staff accountants
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work primarily in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The Company offers a 3-2 hybrid work schedule.

    The option for hybrid is subject to business needs and may be changed at any time at the discretion of the Company.

    Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Acumatica (ERP), CCH Axcess Suite and Fixed Asset Manager is a plus

    Education and Experience
    Four-year accounting degree required. CPA certification a plus.
    Minimum of four year's related work experience with tax background with individuals, trusts, estate and gift returns. Knowledge of flow-through taxation a plus.
