Clearance Level: US Citizen with an Active DoD - Secret clearance is required. This position supports a government contract.

Job Summary

This position requires a DoD Secret Clearance.

B Technology is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the Advanced Database Administrator position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position's main responsibility is maintaining and supporting the databases in the government facility.? The Database Structured Query Language (SQL) Administrator handles the design, creation, and maintenance of computerized databases. They are also responsible for the quality control and auditing of databases to ensure exact and proper use of data. The administrator manages company databases and supports the information they store. The focus is on data organization and security, making it easy for users with permission to access and use data and integrating advanced security measures to prevent data breaches. Database administrators will also perform regular tests on databases to make sure they function correctly, check for and fix bugs in the system, troubleshoot user issues, merge legacy databases and perform updates to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Foster relationships with advocates and key persons

Design and implement efficient and secure database systems

Develop database schemas, tables, and dictionaries

Ensure data integrity and accuracy through regular maintenance and backups

Optimize database performance by monitoring resource usage, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing necessary adjustments

Works with management to develop database strategies to support organization requirements.

Collaborate with software developers to integrate databases with applications

Consults with and advises users on access to various databases.

Works directly with users to resolve data conflicts and inappropriate data usage.

Directs the maintenance and use of the corporate data dictionary.

Provides Tier 2 or Tier 3 support as necessary.

Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions

Experience with OpenText Documentum, STARLIMS, and Qlik is preferred.

Experience with Agile projects is preferred.

Microsoft SQL experience required

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering degree or degree in Mathematics or Engineering

8 years? experience needed

Must have the Security+ to start

CASP+ or CCNP Security or CISA or CISSP or CISSP-ISSAP or CISSP-ISSEP

Minimum of 20 hours annually/required to maintain certificates

Physical Requirements:

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and may include lifting thirty pounds, as necessary.

Security Clearance:

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense (DoD) active security clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.
