    Description
    *Job Functions
    • Prepares exam room, equipment and supplies needed prior/during patient examination
    • Prepares patient for consultation, taking/documenting vital signs (temp, BP, HR, RR) etc.
    • Draws blood, collects specimens and administers injections
    • Schedule appointments for patients
    • Proficient in EMR process
    *Required Qualifications
    • Medical Assistant diploma or certificate from a Medical Assistant program (or equivalent experience as a medical professional)
    An active RMA or CMA certification from one of the following organizations: AAMA, NHA, ARMA, NAHP, AMT, NAHT, NCCT or AAH
    • Current CPR certification
    * - 3 years of Medical Assistant experience in 'back-office' direct patient care

    • Must be a team player with excellent communication skills
    • Experience in a fast pace/high volume environment
    • Basic Computer knowledge
    *Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with Electronic Medical Records, specifically ECW (eClinicalWorks)
    • Experience with HEDIS
    • Bilingual-English/Spanish
    *Additional Information**Schedule:
    • Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
