    Job Title: Support Staff-VPK Lead Paraprofessional

    Location: Early Childhood, St. Cloud

    Employment Type: Full-time

    About the Role

    The VPK Lead Paraprofessional plays a vital role in providing educational opportunities and instruction to students in Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten classrooms.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with Pre-Kindergarten Specialists to deliver high-quality education.
    • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state and district policies.
    • Maintain accurate records of student progress and development.

    Requirements

    • Meet one of the following Florida DOE School-Year VPK Instructor Credential and District Qualification requirements:
    • CDA issued by Council for Professional Recognition and DOE Emergent Literacy Course and a passing score Paraprofessional test or 60+ semester hours college credited from an accredited college or university.
    • CDAE issued by a DCF-approved program and DOE Emergent Literacy Course and a passing score Paraprofessional test or 60+ semester hours college credited from an accredited college or university.
    • Associate's or higher degree in an unrelated field, minimum six (6) credit hours in early childhood education or child development, and DOE Emergent Literacy Course.
    • Associate's or higher degree in child development, and DOE Emergent Literacy Course.
    • At least one (1) year of experience in providing child care services for children any age from birth through 8 years of age.

    Compensation

    The minimum salary for this position is $15.75 per hour.
