- Work with technical team and business users to collect requirements and develop necessary reports in PowerBI.
- Design and map data models to shift raw data into meaningful insights.
- Utilize Power BI to build interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports.
- Transform business requirements into technical publications.
- Build multi-dimensional data models.
- Develop strong data documentation about algorithms, parameters, models.
- Support reports in Production.
- Troubleshoot potential report/data issues and be able to articulate the problem.
- SQL querying for better results.
- The team is growing and working through a major Systems Transformation.
- All reporting previously existed on Cognos off an Oracle database. We are actively building a Data Warehouse in Snowflake and converting reports to Business Objects and PowerBI.
- While we expect most development going forward to be in PowerBI, we do also support Business Objects and the individual would need to be willing to learn it as needed.
- Work is either assigned through projects (typically in Azure DevOps) or ServiceNow.
- Most efforts have some form of project update meeting or daily/weekly SCRUM.
- Highly competent in PowerBI, other reporting tools, SQL, and have an ability to document well.
- Strong communication skills with business users.
- Strong collaboration with team members.
- Ability to learn and apply new knowledge quickly.
- 5+ years' experience in Reporting and as much experience in PowerBI as possible.
