    11:30am-8:00pm / Thursday, Friday off

    Hourly Rate: 19.28

    Position Overview:
    The Server is responsible for table service for dining room, and banquet/catering events. This position serves food in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner. In addition, the Server position maintains proper sanitation guidelines and lends to the promotion of a professional atmosphere that would complement, meet, and exceed customer needs.
    Essential Duties:

    • Set tables and maintain workstations in a neat and orderly fashion.

    • Take orders, provide service, and requested items both graciously and courteously.

    • Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service and re-set table.

    • Answer pertinent questions about menu items.

    • Report all issues or concerns to manager.

    • Deliver all food items to table.

    • Assist in the plating and proper portion controls of some or all of the following: appetizers, salads, soup, beverages and dessert

    • Assist in maintaining a high level of customer service for our residents and their guests.

    • Maintain safe and sanitary conditions in work areas and will follow all safety and sanitation rules and regulations

    • Maintain acceptable standards of personal hygiene and compile with department dress code.

    • Complete all assigned cleaning tasks.

    • Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned.

    • Welcome and acknowledge all residents and their guests

    • Anticipate and address guests` service needs

    • Ensure and adherence to quality expectations and standards

    • Complete closing duties, including vacuum carpet, refilling sugar caddies, salt & pepper shakers on your tables, make sure table and chairs are straight.

    • Assist food runner in bringing food from kitchen

    • May attend resident association and food committee meetings for feedback.

    • Help Dining Room Manager when needed

    • Assist in other areas in food service as needed.

    • Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation and proper table set ups.

    • Consistently keep the dining room organized and clean

    • Perform other duties as assigned
    Qualifications:

    • High school graduate or equivalent.

    • Experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining, preferred.

    • Ability to read, write, understand, and follow instructions in English

    • Ability to communicate effectively with customers (seniors), guests and other staff.

    • Ability to interpret and explain menu, answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests.

    • Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor, and peers.

    • Must be courteous, tactful and gracious at all times.
    Physical Requirement/Working Conditions:

    • Work indoors and outdoors.

    • Must be able to stand/walk for 100% of the workday.

    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. independently.

    • Must be able to push and pull bus carts weighing up to 50 lbs. independently.

    • Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and balance frequently throughout the workday.
