    Description

    We have an immediate requirement for a Software Engineer () with one of our clients in Bentonville, AR USA

    The position is long term contract and Hybrid (2 days a week onsite).

    The Software Engineer position will be responsible for hands-on development as well as researching legacy systems for replacement. SE will be responsible for application development in support of the multi-platform roadmap. Responsible for researching, documenting, and understanding legacy tools for replacement. SE will have the opportunity to assist designing and engineering newer scalable services.

    Areas of responsibility include: - Researching, documenting, and understanding legacy tools for replacement. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards- Drives technical vision and influences product roadmap and vision- Implement large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects- Leads the discovery phase of large projects to develop high level design- Supervise the work of cross-functional groups of engineers, including offshore associates- Directs root cause analysis of critical business and production issues- Documents testing and maintenance of application corrections and improvements- Influence decisions, builds consensus, and resolves conflicts constructively and proactively- Supports business objectives and ensures the business needs are being met.

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any) or related field and 5 years of experience building scalable e-commerce applications.

    Skills required:

    EExperience Engineering/Researching 4gl, Unix/Linux Shell Scripts, ., Store Procedures, Informix, and work on legacy transitions.
