- Lead and supervise the OVC Unit staff, providing performance monitoring and guidance.
- Administer grants and diligently monitor grant compliance following program policies.
- Conduct audits of cases to verify adherence to program policies, funding requirements, and legal regulations.
- Ensure strict adherence to tribal, state, and federal laws during case management activities.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships between the OVC Unit, tribal programs, and state/federal agencies.
- Foster collaborations and partnerships to optimize program effectiveness.
- Organize and conduct staff meetings, offering comprehensive instruction and training on job tasks, duties, and techniques.
- Identify external training resources to meet staff development needs.
- Prepare and submit requisite reports to tribal, state, and federal agencies.
- Maintain thorough and organized documentation of program activities.
- Identify and resolve issues with Case Management Systems and electronic databases, implementing necessary enhancements to system functionality.
- Address and resolve internal and external inquiries pertaining to operational, personnel, and client service matters promptly and professionally.
- Continuously assess program needs and proactively propose solutions to enhance efficiency. Collaborate with the Victims Services Director to refine budget allocation and resource utilization.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Victims Services Director.
- Bachelor's degree in social work or related field.
- A minimum of two years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Victims of Crime Act and Violence Against Women Act.
- Familiarity with federal grant management processes.
- Strong negotiation, mediation, and assertiveness skills at a professional level.
- Proficiency in case planning, case management, communication, organization, and time management.
- Demonstrated cultural competence, sensitivity, and responsiveness in diverse environments.
- Proficiency in courtroom situations, with comfort and effectiveness.
- In-depth knowledge of the Indian Child Welfare Act, Family Violence & Prevention Services Act, and relevant regulations.
- Ability to deliver compelling testimony in court proceedings.
- Proficiency in data processing, word processing, and relevant computer programs.
- Must submit to and pass applicable drug test.
- Must pass background investigations for suitability of character identified in accordance with the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver license with no serious violations.
