    Job Summary

    As the Business Development Leader for Commercial Payer Partnerships at Summer Health, you will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and securing strategic partnerships with commercial health insurance plans. You will leverage your deep expertise in the commercial insurance market, strong relationship-building skills, and business acumen to drive new revenue opportunities that expand Summer Health's reach and impact in the pediatric care delivery space.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to engage with national and regional commercial health plans
    • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of partnership opportunities, actively prospecting, qualifying, and closing new deals
    • Serve as the subject matter expert on commercial insurance policies, regulations, and market dynamics, advising the leadership team on trends and strategic considerations
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, product, and operations teams to understand Summer Health's capabilities and craft compelling partnership proposals
    • Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service-level agreements to secure mutually beneficial partnerships
    • Manage the ongoing relationship with commercial payer partners, ensuring successful implementation and identifying opportunities for expansion
    • Represent Summer Health at industry events, conferences, and meetings to raise the company's profile and identify new business leads
    • Analyze market data, competitive intelligence, and partnership performance to inform business planning and strategy
    Qualifications:
    • 5+ years of experience in business development, account management, or strategic partnerships, with a focus on the commercial insurance market
    • Deep understanding of commercial insurance products, reimbursement models, and regulatory requirements
    • Proven track record of identifying, cultivating, and closing complex, high-value partnerships
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to translate data into actionable insights
    • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field is a plus
