    Description

    Transportation Project Engineer

    We are seeking a Transportation Project Engineer to join our Buffalo, NY office location. The successful candidate must have technical expertise in transportation and/or highway engineering and a proven background in the development of transportation and/or highway projects.

    • Performs technical discipline tasks including research, reports, design, specification, and plan preparation to ensure efficient project execution.
    • Assists Project Managers with business development activities, including client meetings.
    • Prepares and coordinates proposal efforts to secure work.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Project management on smaller assignments or project engineer on larger projects.
    • Research, report writing, design, specification, and plan preparation for assigned projects.
    • Business development activities including client meetings.
    • Proposal coordination and preparation.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
    • 8-10+ years of progressive transportation design experience.
    • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.
    • Experience working on NYSDOT, NYSTA, and Local Administered Federal Aid transportation projects.
    • Proficiency in Microstation/AutoCAD; Inroads experience a plus.
    • General knowledge of NYSDOT specifications and standards.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
