About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Architect to join our team and take on the crucial responsibility of remediating technical gaps in our Quality Engineering (QE) tooling and frameworks. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in quality assurance, software testing, and architecture design, with a focus on identifying and addressing deficiencies in testing tools and frameworks. This role will involve strategic planning, technical analysis, and hands-on implementation to ensure our QE processes are efficient, effective, and aligned with industry best practices.

Job Title: Quality Engineering Architect

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess the current state of our QE tooling and frameworks, identifying technical gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, technical constraints, and quality objectives.
• Develop a comprehensive roadmap for remediating technical gaps in QE tooling and frameworks, prioritizing initiatives based on business impact and feasibility.
• Design and architect robust, scalable solutions to address identified technical gaps, leveraging best practices and emerging technologies.
• Lead the implementation of remediation efforts, working closely with development teams, QA engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to QA engineers, helping them understand and adopt new tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
• Conduct code reviews, performance evaluations, and technical assessments to ensure the quality and maintainability of QE tooling and frameworks.
• Establish and maintain documentation, standards, and guidelines for QE tooling and frameworks, ensuring consistency and repeatability across projects.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies in quality assurance and software testing, incorporating relevant insights into our technical roadmap.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate QE processes into the overall software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps pipeline.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a QA Architect, Technical Lead, or similar role, with a focus on quality engineering tooling and frameworks.
• Deep understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Extensive hands-on experience with a variety of testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, Appium, etc.
• Strong proficiency in programming and scripting languages, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in agile environments and familiarity with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
• Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB), software architecture, or related fields are desirable.

Location: Hybrid in Dallas (2-3 days onsite)

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $125,000-140,000 annually. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
