Job Summary
As the Industrial Engineer, you will design layouts to improve productivity and reduce waste in the production environment. You will design various control systems to help minimize costs and increase production quality.
This role includes monitoring overall operations of the company to find new ways to increase efficiency through new production designs and controls.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate current manufacturing practices and identify processes needing improvement
Implement Standard Hour Tracking by Process
Facilitate the implementation of a Lean Management Program
Enforce quality control to reduce waste
Improve the efficiency of each production process through Continuous Improvements
Evaluate employees' tasks and responsibilities, identifying procedures or tools to improve productivity
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, industrial distribution, or similar
Certified or pursuing Lean Certification
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment
Ability to utilize basic and advanced calculations to determine the current and potential productivity of a process.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
Must possess good leadership skills for implementing productivity changes.
Having the ability to visualize changes while working through all the contributing factors involved in the process. This includes safety, quality, employee and finance
Experienced in using analytical skills to evaluate and interpret data. Must be able to create reports and present results to Leadership
