Description

Shift:

Hourly on call, Days, Rotating weekend, with Call rotation
Performs diagnostic Nuclear Medicine procedures assigned by the team facilitator
Monitors patient's condition and maintains department equipment
Explains examination procedures to patients and assists in positioning
Administers correct radioisotope dosages to patients
Demonstrates knowledge and skills for all age groups
Labels images and participates in Quality Improvement activities
Maintains equipment, accessories, and supplies
Assumes responsibility for professional growth and on-call duties
Adheres to hospital standards, policies, and procedures

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program with knowledge of radioisotopes
Current registration by ARRT or certification by NMTCB
Illinois Emergency Management Agency license (IEMA)
Knowledge and experience in the correct use of body mechanics
Current CPR certification from American Heart Association
Interpersonal and analytical skills
Communication and computer skills

Physical Requirements:

Moderate physical effort, continuous standing or sitting, occasional lifting of heavy materials
Concentrated attention with manual coordination

Working Conditions:

Acceptable conditions with exposure to radiation and occasional infectious diseases
