    Position Summary:

    Reporting to the Senior Manager of Supply Chain, the Senior Finance Analyst will be responsible for analytics, general ledger management, cost accounting, ERP maintenance, period close, and reporting activities. This role will collaborate closely with the Supply Chain Finance Manager, corporate accounting/finance team, hourly associates, and supply chain management. This position is one of two similar roles within the Supply Chain Finance organization.

    We utilize SAP for general ledger, purchase orders, and accounts payable, while bills of materials, inventory ledger, and warehouse management are managed on other platforms.

    Requirements:

    Duties/Essential Job Functions:

    • Collaborate with operations and finance to develop the Annual Operating Plan and forecasts for all procurement, manufacturing, and distribution functions.
    • Conduct P&L analysis to identify opportunities for reducing operating costs.
    • Analyze financial data to identify current and future operating trends, and address problem areas.
    • Execute month-end close activities to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
    • Monitor and validate daily inventory transactions for raw materials and finished goods.
    • Establish and maintain standard costs/BOMs, and conduct product costings.
    • Analyze monthly obsolete packaging and ingredient data.
    • Review product cost transfers.
    • Prepare accountability, yield, and utilization reports.
    • Compile, analyze, and report spend variances to department leadership.
    • Cultivate strong relationships across various business stakeholders.
    • Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
    • Compile and analyze weekly and monthly operations reporting.
    • Prepare federal, state, and local government-required filings.
    • Develop and maintain KPIs.
    • Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited institution.
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the food & beverage or manufacturing industry as an Accountant or Analyst. Experience in dairy industry is advantageous.
    • Inquisitive nature with a passion for querying, analyzing, and presenting data.
    • Strong numerical and financial skill set with business acumen.
    • Ability to influence cross-functional team members.
    • Preferred experience with SAP, AS/400 applications, and report writing.
    • Proficiency in Excel and strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
    • Attentive to detail.
    • Able to work independently or as part of a team.
    • Self-starter with a sense of urgency and ability to drive results in a complex and dynamic environment.
    • Effective organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage challenges professionally.
    • Ability to collaborate with accounting team members to achieve department goals and objectives.
