    Description

    Senior Buyer

    Location: Houston, TX

    Salary: $75,000 - $85,000

    Company Profile: A growing CPG/Food company is looking for a Senior Buyer/Planner. This person will be responsible for leading the RFP process and inventory management for the packaging category. This person's main focus will be on managing vendor relationships, analyzing inventory positions, ensuring lead times, and analyzing sales forecasts and production usages. With the company currently in a growing phase, you will have the opportunity to create your own path within the organization and take your career to the next level

    The Senior Buyer will be responsible for the following:

    • Prepare, process, and maintain purchase orders at the system
    • Maximize company profitability level through effective and efficient procurement and negotiation processes
    • Manage packaging rejections and vendor returns process
    • Support on Procurement KPIs development and monthly reports
    • Participate in cross functional teams as needed to support business objectives

    The Senior Buyer should have the following qualifications:

    • Bachelors' degree OR 7 years of relevant work experience
    • 4+ years of buying experience ideally in CPG/Food (packaging, grains, ingredients)
    • Microsoft Office Suites; Excel (high level), Word and PowerPoint skills
    • Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
    • Apply analytics to inform decision-making
    • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

    This is a full time permanent role that will be onsite located in Huston, TX
