    Description

    Pascual is a new Contemporary Mexican restaurant centered around a wood-fired hearth, heirloom corn, and local, seasonal ingredients. Located in the heart of Capitol Hill, Pascual is the latest collaboration between family-owned restaurateurs, The Popal Group, and award-winning chefs Isabel Coss and Matt Conroy. Since opening in February, we've been named the number one best new restaurant in the DMV by the Washington Post and one of the hottest global restaurant openings of 2024 by World's 50 Best.

    At Pascual, we believe that great food starts with great people. We're a close-knit team that values creativity, collaboration, good food, and growing together. We're on the hunt for a talented Sous Chef to join our family and help us create an unforgettable dining experience for our guests.

    Your Role:

    As our Sous Chef, you'll be the right hand to our Executive Chefs, helping to manage the kitchen operations and ensuring that every dish that leaves the kitchen is perfect.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Assisting in menu planning and development.
    • Overseeing kitchen staff and ensuring smooth operations.
    • Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
    • Managing inventory and ordering supplies.
    • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

    What We're Looking For:

    • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role.
    • 3+ years of experience working in restaurant kitchens.
    • Passion for food and a desire to create exceptional dining experiences.
    • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire your team.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
