    Reproductive Endocrinology Assistant/Associate Professor

    The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor to join our growing faculty. The successful candidate will have a terminal degree related to Laboratory-Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) and expertise in the field of clinical ART. The position includes teaching and research opportunities with the support of a longstanding clinical and research program. The ideal candidate will contribute to the university's mission through teaching, research, and service.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Performing embryology and andrology skills necessary to maintain the operation of the ART Laboratory, including both ICSI and embryo biopsy.
    • Maintaining and performing maintenance on all ART laboratory equipment, including daily QC and QM tasks.
    • Working a flexible schedule to maintain the services of the ART Laboratory.
    • Assisting the laboratory director in maintaining all regulatory requirements of the ART Lab.
    • Training students, residents, and staff in any and all of the above.
    • Lecturing students and residents on subjects in their expertise as assigned by the department chair or laboratory director.
    • Serving as a mentor to students and residents for research projects as assigned by the laboratory director.
    • Participating in collaborative research of the department's laboratory as assigned by the lab director.
    • Developing independent research as long as research efforts do not negatively impact clinical and teaching responsibilities.

    Requirements:

    • Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
    • Extensive training and expertise in clinical laboratory techniques of Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART).
    • Proven success rate in ART.

    Work Schedule:

    This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Some travel may be required.
