- Candidates must have an MD, DO or equivalent degree.
- Candidates must be board-certified or board eligible in Neurology.
- Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
- Candidates must have completed a residency.
- Looking to identify general neurologists, neurohospitalists, and subspecialists (neurocritical care, stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, headache, behavioral neurology, and neuromuscular) who are interested in doing inpatient work
- Epileptologists should be comfortable reading neonatal and pediatric EEGs
- Desire to practice at the nations largest teaching hospitals at a single site, which is conveniently located on a medical campus adjacent to downtown Los Angeles.
- Desire for a rich clinical experience derived from the tremendous variety in pathology.
- Passion for providing high quality clinical patient care to an underserved population.
- Passion to teach and work with fellows, residents, and medical students.
- Interest in participating in scholarly activities.
- Very busy epilepsy clinic, serving a large population with intractable epilepsy
- EEGs include spot and video monitoring
- Work seamlessly with the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at sister hospital, Rancho Los Amigos
- Opportunities for healthcare delivery science research
- Daily census: ~10 patients per day, following about 5 consults, 2-3 stroke codes a day
