- Providing Warranty support for vehicles being delivered. This will involve: technical analysis, failure investigations, issue resolution, quantitative analysis of failures.
- Direct contribution to the design and manufacturing of rail vehicle equipment.
- The term of the internship is 3-6 months, targeted for the Summer of 2024.
- Currently enrolled in a 4-year program and have completed at least 2 years of a major in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronic Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or related field.

Alstom has an opening for a railway vehicle Systems Engineering Intern. The position is posted for our Naperville, IL site. In Alstom Services, our focus is to provide excellence in customer support and develop innovative mobility solutions.
What are my responsibilities?
The core function of Systems Engineering is to define the system functional, electrical, and mechanical requirements in line with the train architecture and customer requirements. You also work in compliance with engineering processes and regulatory standards.
This is an opportunity to contribute to and learn from a multi-functioned and experienced railway vehicle engineering team working on industry-leading solutions for our customers.
You will report to the Train Systems Manager, working alongside Train Systems, Train Control, and Train Electrical engineers to support ongoing rail vehicle projects.
The Systems Engineering Intern will gain first-hand experience working on rail vehicle design, system definition, performance evaluation, and technical writing.
