I&E Technician - Convent, LA, United States - Airswift North America

*Our client is seeking an I&E technician to work within their facilities in Convent, LA, for a 10 months assignment* *with the opportunity to go full time based on performance.

*Job Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints, P&ID's, single-lines, ladder logic, and wiring schematics.
• Repair and troubleshoot analog and discrete instrument loops.
• Effectively use typical test and calibration equipment, including pneumatic calibrators, RTD calibrators, mA calibrators, T/C calibrators, digital and analog multi-meters, meggers, and laptops for equipment communication.
• Follow step-by-step calibration procedures.
• Use computerized systems to enter and retrieve data.
• Troubleshoot and repair 480 VAC 3-phase motor controls as well as 120 VAC control circuits.
• Troubleshoot PLC problems through knowledge of PLC logic and operations.
• Should work with and troubleshoot the following: •Pressure, temperature, level, and flow measuring equipment.
• Pneumatic Controls
• Chart recorders
• Water analytical equipment, including pH/ORP, Conductivity
• Solenoids
• Limit & Proximity Switches

*Required Skills:

• Must be a safety-oriented individual that is able to work in a team environment.

*Education/Experience:

• Trade/Technical degree or apprenticeship in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years strong industrial (Chemical/Petrochemical) maintenance experience and/or equivalent military experience.
