Duration: 181 days assignment (Possibility of Extension)

Schedule options -

2 days + 2 days x) and x)

Schedule: 4 x 10 9PM- 7:30 AM

Job Description:

Responsibilities are interchangeable within job titles of medical laboratory scientist (MLS), medical technologist or clinical laboratory scientist. Work environment/department will be listed in requirement. Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria. Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures. Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.

Need and Responsibilities:

Medical Screening: TB screening, Color vision screening, covid and flu vaccine

• 1 – Is this for and Medical Lab Technician [2 year MLT degree ] or Medical Lab Scientist / Medical Technologist [4 year BS] or are you open to either? WE ARE OPEN TO EITHER.
• 2- Please confirm if ASCP or AMT certification is required. [If required, are you open to eligible /registered candidates?] Would be nice but not required.
• 3- Are you seeking a generalist [proficient in testing in all Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation] or are you seeking a Micro Lab worker with Molecular background? Looking for a generalist [coag,hem, ua etc]
• 4- What department will this technical position support? [Micro lab, Core lab, DNA sequence, etc.] Core Lab
• 5- Is Blood Bank experience required for this role? NO
• 6- Any particular LIS [Lab Information System] experience you would like to see on resumes? [Millenium, Cerner, Epic etc.] WE USE CERNER BUT CAN TEACH THEM WHAT THEY NEED TO KNOW. [Any experience with Instrument Manager for Abbot Chemistry, and WAM for Sysmex in hematology would also be nice.]
• 7- Please confirm if color vision screening is required? YES
• 8- Please confirm any vaccine requirement: Flu and Covid.
