    JOB SUMMARY The Diagnostic Imaging Assistant performs a wide variety of routine duties including clerical, technical and patient related functions.

    The Assistant is responsible for assisting members of the patient care team and providing a broad range of health care services such as:
    patient check-in, exam review, preparation for the visit, patient education, assistance with exams and procedures. The Diagnostic Imaging Assistant is trained to use a wide variety of diagnostic imaging equipment, computers, and software.

    Works under the supervision of a registered technologist, performing only duties in areas that training has been completed satisfactorily as determined by the technical lead of the area.


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education:
    High School graduate or equivalent

    Experience:
    N/A

    Licensure/Certification/Registration:
    Within 90 days of hire, BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or Military Training Network


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education:
    Degree in Health Sciences


    Experience:
    Prior related work experience in a health care setting
