    Description

    The HSE Counsel will offer legal advice on various environmental and regulatory matters related to the company's strategic business units across different countries where the company operates. This involves interpreting laws like the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act, OSHA, and others. They will keep up-to-date with changes in legislation, regulations, and court rulings to ensure the company complies with all requirements. Additionally, they will collaborate with HSE corporate and business unit teams to identify and minimize potential legal risks.


    Responsibilities Includ

    1. eProviding legal support to multiple functions including Finance, Procurement, EH&S, Global Trade Compliance, Product Stewardship, Customer Service, and IT
    2. .Offering legal support on corporate organizational, antitrust, commercial, financing, real estate and facilities, and transactional matters, including mergers & acquisitions and corporate restructuring
    3. .Offering legal support, counsel, awareness, and training to ensure that the businesses operate within the law and Company policy
    4. .Developing policies and procedures to provide effective guidance for legal compliance and risk mitigation, considering both financial and business reputation impacts
    5. .Advising on data privacy matters, negotiating data privacy agreements in client and supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with data privacy laws and information security requirements
    6. .Supporting and overseeing third-party due diligence, compliance training, and contract preparation processes
    7. .Engaging and coordinating with outside counsel when necessary to optimize internal and external legal spend, considering the magnitude of risk and consequences
    8. .Assisting the General Counsel with other matters as requested
    9. .Completing other duties as assigned
