    Job Summary: The Staff Nurse plays a key role in implementing the philosophies, objectives, and standards of care set by the Nursing Division, under the supervision of the Nurse Manager. In this position, the Staff Nurse is tasked with delivering direct patient care and serving as a charge nurse as per the expectations outlined by the Nurse Manager for the designated shift.

    Minimum Requirements:
    • Graduate from an NCBON approved School of Nursing and/or graduate from an approved School of Nursing.
    • Hold a current RN license with the North Carolina State Board of Nursing or a Compact License recognized by the North Carolina State Board of Nursing.
    • Possess knowledge of current trends and techniques in nursing.
    • Ability to establish effective relationships with patients, their families, physicians, staff, and others through proper communication channels.
    • Understanding of the significance of being a professional role model for colleagues.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in the knowledge and skills required to deliver age-appropriate care to patients on the assigned unit(s).
    • Display an understanding of the principles of growth and development across the lifespan and the ability to interpret patient data to meet age-specific needs.
    • Maintain current AHA BLS certification.
