    Accountabilities:


    Apply knowledge of engineering and physical science principles, materials, and tools in a collaborative environment to develop, integrate, document and evaluate flight vehicle structure designs for performance, functional adequacy, cost effectiveness, manufacturability, and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

    Areas of expertise may include primary and secondary structure design, payloads design, and lofting.

    Qualifications


    Required Qualifications:
    Demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment
    Working knowledge of aerospace industry practices and standards
    Advanced thinking and problem-solving ability
    Excellent written and oral communication skills
    Excellent interpersonal skills
    Strong analytical and organizational skills
    Candidate must be a resident of or willing to relocate to the Wichita, KS area
    Bachelor's of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering or other related course of study from an ABET accredited program
    Requires educational credentials meeting the Spirit classification standards for engineers and typically 2 to 4 years' experience in a design engineering classification / position

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Experience in or knowledge of CATIA V5
    Basic understanding of aircraft structures
    Knowledge of aerospace industry practices and standards
    Problem solving skills
    Ability to work cross-functionally with partners in quality, manufacturing, and operations to determine where engineering changes are necessary
    Ability to effectively communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of employees
    Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
    Strong analytical and organizational skills
    Airbus experience
