Job DescriptionWe are currently hiring Behavioral Health Technicians This shift comes with an added Shift Differential of up to $1.50 per hour on top of base pay. (More money per hour depending on the shift you work)
Pay starts at $16-$17 per hour based on experience
Schedule is Sunday all day, M-W 2nd Shift
Scope of the Position:
The job of Behavioral Health Technician for Real Recovery is established for the purpose of providing support for clients. Real Recovery is an all male program ages 18+ providing sober housing and clinical services to clients in the program. The Behavioral Health Technician will help with supervising clients, cooking with clients, helping with phone calls, teaching life skills, transporting clients to meetings and providing assistance with daily activities.
Principal Results Expected:
• Provide client transportation
• Supervise clients as directed by BHT Manager
• Assist with coordinating and scheduling house activities
• Maintain a helpful attitude and positive Role Model for clients
• Hold personal client information confidential and not discuss with other clients in the home.
• Maintain correspondence with and provide updated reports to BHT Manager
• Handle petty cash and save receipts when needed
• Interact with clients; form healthy relationships to build trust
• De-escalate potentially tense situations between clients
• Speak positively about the company and other employees
• Assist clients in efforts to problem solve
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Profile:
1 year of experience in a human services system, preferably within a residential, mental health \substance abuse setting.
Experience:
High School graduate or GED with 1 years experience as a BHT. Prefer an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field.
Required: Valid Driver's License. 21 years or older. HS Diploma/GED

Must possess skills to communicate effectively and interact well with people of diverse backgrounds. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Maintains professionalism and does not show favoritism. Maintains consistency with clients, staff, visitors, and the public. Ability to handle a crisis situation and react appropriately. Flexibility and adaptable. Ability to make decisions in an objective and ethical manner. Calm and decisive in crisis situations. Ability to sustain a team environment, drive continuous improvement projects, confidentiality, excellent problem-solving skills and excellent communicator within the team framework.
