    Description
    Job Description -Financial Data Analyst

    Jacksonville, FL (Hybrid/Westside)

    Initial 6-month

    7-8 exp senior consultant


    Responsibilities:

    Financial Accounting:
    Execute prepaid, accrual, inventory, and cost allocation journal entries during month-end close procedures.

    Evaluate warranty and parts returns reserves monthly to ensure adequate and accurate balances.

    Conduct thorough analysis of standard versus actual cost of sales, offering valuable insights to management regarding expenses.


    Reporting and Analysis:
    Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

    Review account trends and perform variance analysis to facilitate the preparation of monthly financial forecasts.

    Generate ad hoc costing analytics to support operational decision-making for business partners.


    Technical Skills:
    Proficient in Advanced Excel, including the ability to create pivot tables and utilize complex formulas.

    Familiarity with financial modeling, particularly in cost accounting contexts.

    Experience with NetSuite and mainframe data extraction preferred.


    Additional Notes:

    Work Schedule:
    Remote for the first week of the month and every Friday thereafter.

    Potential Extension:
    The role may extend beyond the initial 6 months, especially due to the ongoing initiative systems migration

    Technological Environment:

    Utilization of Power BI for reporting; however, proficiency in this tool is not required as there are resources available to handle this aspect.


    Communication Skills:
    Ability to effectively communicate findings and analysis to executives and stakeholders is essential.


    This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of the organization, focusing on critical areas such as journal entries, reserve analysis, and financial forecasting.

    Advanced Excel skills and expertise in financial modeling will be key assets in ensuring success in this role.
