    Description

    Located in Chester, CT, Chapco, Inc has been a valuable and reliable partner in providing Sheet Metal Manufacturing Services, Assembly, as well as Product Development and Engineering Services since 1964.

    Denlar Hoods, Fastcorp Vending, and Samsara Fitness.

    This position reports to the Shipping Manager and spends the majority of his or her time in the Shipping Department supporting efforts to ship parts on time and efficiently.

    May also spend a portion of his or her time on the road delivering parts to customers and vendors.
    Prepare product for shipping by packing, creating labels, etc.


    • May verify conformance of parts to specification.
    • Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually, or with forklift, hand truck, and pallet jack. Works with shipping and other department to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner.
    • Understand and follow basic box truck road laws.
    • May be required to drive box truck or delivery van throughout CT and surrounding states to deliver manufactured parts, on-time to customers/vendors, and act as the face of the company in these interactions.
    • Follow company policy pertaining to maintenance and safety requirements.
    • Strong computer skills preferred – Microsoft Office Suite, UPS Worldship, FedEx manager
    • CDL a plus but not required.
