- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including pre-operative, post-operative, and ongoing monitoring.
- Administer medications, fluids, and blood products intravenously and via other routes as prescribed.
- Assist surgeons during procedures and provide sterile instrumentation.
- Implement physician-ordered treatments, including wound care, pain management, and physical therapy interventions.
- Educate patients and families on their conditions, treatment plans, and post-operative care instructions.
- Monitor vital signs and implement interventions to maintain patient stability.
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Maintain a safe and sterile work environment.
- Ensure patient comfort and provide compassionate care.
- Active and unrestricted Washington State RN license.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a progressive orthopedic or spine setting, preferably within a Level II Trauma Center.
- Strong understanding of orthopedic and spinal conditions, surgical procedures, and post-operative care protocols.
- Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Current certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) are mandatory.
