As a Financial Service Associate, your responsible for providing a broad variety of financial services related to operations, consumer and business accounts, and loans. Incumbent is responsible for helping meet sales and growth objectives. Resolve member inquiries and challenging account issues with solution-based approaches. Performs additional branch duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and provide solutions to member issues.
  • Process financial transactions and maintain member accounts.
  • Open new accounts, evaluate account and loan requests, and assist with investment services.
  • Provide financial guidance and recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Make outbound member contacts to support credit union growth objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with other duties as needed.

Work Schedule & Benefits

  • General Business Hours: Monday–Friday (8:30 AM – 7:00 PM), Saturday (8:30 AM – 3:00 PM). Closed Sundays.
  • Location-Specific Hours: Monday–Friday (8:30 AM – 7:00 PM), Saturday (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM).
  • Rotating Saturday schedule.
  • Closed on Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
  • Open most holidays (double pay for worked holidays).
  • Full-time position with benefits.

Special Note

This is a brand new location scheduled to open this June 2026. Prior to opening you will be expected to work in a variety of our locations for training and to gain experience.

Essential Job Responsbilites

  1. Ensure efficient and accurate execution of front-line teller operations, including transaction processing and new account services.
  2. Proactively identifying members' needs and successfully cross-sell products and services that support their financial well-being.
  3. Accurately prepare and open new accounts and subaccounts, ensuring all required documentation is collected and members are onboard with appropriate products.
  4. Process account and loan applications in compliance with credit union policies and regulatory requirements, including all necessary verifications.
  5. Assist members with a wide range of account-related requests, including ownership changes, account updates, and service enrollments.
  6. Perform basic loan functions, including entering loan applications and discussing general rate and term information.
  7. Support the balancing, posting, troubleshooting, and auditing of ATMs, Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs), and cash recyclers.
  8. Independently locate and utilize available resources to resolve common member issues effectively.
  9. Refer complex or non-standard transactions to supervisory staff for further assistance.

  10. Adapt positively to organizational changes and perform additional tasks as needed or assigned.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS of a FINANCIAL SERVICE ASSOCIATE:

  1. Ensure confidentiality and preservation of member records, transactions, and company assets.

  2. Ensure all activity complies with applicable policies and regulations.

  3. Be depended upon to perform all duties as scheduled, accurately and efficiently.

  4. Foster and maintain effective collaborative relations within the department and with other departments.

  5. Represent the credit union in a positive and professional manner to the members, other credit unions, industry affiliates, the community, and all media channels including social media.
