    Information Technology Internship

    Internship Details:

    Start Date - June/ASAP

    End Date - TBD, possibility to extend through end of year or beyond

    Location - Wakefield, MA (onsite)

    Schedule hours/week; 4 days preferably

    Pay - $18/hour

    YOU'LL GET TO...

    • Provide day-to-day 1st level technical support, by responding to incoming phone calls, tickets, and assignments designated by the IT Infrastructure Help Desk Manager and Help Desk Analysts.
    • Install, Upgrade, and Configure software on Virtual Approved Hardware, including the maintenance and configurations of corporate preventive solutions such as anti-virus, anti-spam, and related support tools. This position requires hands-on experience with multiple versions of the Microsoft Windows operating systems to achieve optimum performance.
    • Strong accountability, analytical, organizational, and communication skills are a must. As is the ability to work in a team-oriented environment, provide customer service, and basic step-by-step training to the end-user community.
    • Track and Log incoming support calls, document and maintain standard operational procedures, as well as maintain systems documentation for testing and validation.
    • Perform software distribution, installation, troubleshooting, and patch management to Windows workstations.
    • Submit weekly status reports, escalate outstanding and problematic issues to Senior Staff and Level 2 Techs.
    • Demonstrate excellent multitasking abilities by taking on different projects and tasks as needed.

    WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO BRINGS...

    • College Junior/Senior Associate/Bachelor's or CCNA/MCTS/MCITP
    • Degree Majoring in Information Systems/Information Technology/Computer Science
    • Min. Experience of Years
    • Knowledge of workstation operating systems, including Windows 10/11
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Family of Products
    • Knowledge of basic Active Directory and Exchange Domain Account Administration/Principles
    • Ability to search for answers independently and ask questions to achieve problem resolution.
    • Familiarity with TCP/IP Protocols, Wireless and Home Networks, and working with networking infrastructure technologies such as printers, cabling, telephones, switches, routers, and firewalls.
    • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
    • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
    • Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Command Line.
    • Understanding of ITIL principles or other IT service management frameworks.
    • Must be currently enrolled in college throughout entire internship period.
