Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our Hilo Products team as a Diesel Mechanic. The ideal candidate plays a crucial role in inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel-powered vehicles and machinery.

Responsibilities:

Diagnostic Tests and Repairs:

Run diagnostic tests on vehicles, including trucks, forklifts, and trailers.

Interpret the results to offer suitable solutions.

Repairing or replacing of vehicle components such as transmissions, brakes, engines, and other associated parts.

Emergency Field Visits:

In case of an emergency or sudden breakdown, conduct field visits to address issues promptly.

Test Drives:

After repairs, test drive the vehicles to gauge their performance and ensure proper maintenance.

Routine Maintenance:

Diesel Mechanics perform routine tasks like oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment, and brake checks.

Record Keeping:

They maintain records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles.

Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications Preferred:

Previous diesel mechanic experience.

Physical ability to lift and carry heavy items.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.

Relocation

For applicants not living on the Big Island. We will assist with relocation.
