    Position Summary


    We are seeking a talented and data-driven Data Scientist to help us launch a delightful consumer-facing product that is incubated within SCA.

    Reporting to the Director of Product, Marketing, and Customer Analytics, you will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making, optimizing product performance, and maximizing marketing effectiveness.

    Your expertise in analytics and your ability to translate complex data into actionable insights will be instrumental in shaping our product, marketing, and customer experience strategies.

    Job Responsibilities

    Working with complex data:
    Ability to navigate and analyze complex datasets from variety of internal and external data sources.

    Partner with Data Engineering to design and implement scalable data querying and pipelines for processing datasets to use in analysis and insight generation.


    Analyze customer behavior and segmentation:
    Analyze customer data to gain a deep understanding of customer behavior, preferences, and needs. Identify customer segments and develop targeted marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition, retention, and upselling opportunities.

    Build predictive models and forecasting:

    Utilize statistical modeling and predictive analytics to forecast customer demand, churn rates, revenue projections, and other relevant business metrics.

    Develop and maintain models to guide customer segmentation, resource allocation, geographic planning, pricing strategies, and sales forecasting.

    Drive product performance analysis:

    Utilize advanced analytics techniques to evaluate product performance, including customer usage patterns, customer satisfaction, feature adoption, and revenue generation.

    Identify areas for improvement, recommend strategies for optimizing product offerings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements.

    Develop and monitor marketing KPIs:
    Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for customer growth and marketing initiatives. Measure, monitor, and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, channels, and customer acquisition efforts. Identify opportunities for optimization and provide actionable recommendations to the marketing and product development teams.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Partner with product management, marketing, operations, and finance teams to understand their needs and provide data-driven insights.

    Collaborate on projects and initiatives to align product development and marketing strategies with customer requirements and market dynamics.

    Data visualization and reporting:
    Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to effectively communicate complex analytical findings to stakeholders across the organization. Create insightful reports that provide actionable recommendations for product and marketing teams.
    Stay up-to-date with analytics tools and methodologies: Continuously research and evaluate new analytics tools, AI models, techniques, and methodologies. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in product and marketing analytics. Apply new insights to enhance our analytical capabilities and improve decision-making processes.

    Qualifications For Position

    Your qualifications and experience should include:

    7+ years of experience in product analytics, marketing analytics, or a related role/advanced degree.
    Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering, economics or related technical degree.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in statistical analysis, data modeling, A/B testing, and segmentation.
    Experience with statistical software (e.g., R, Python) and database querying languages (SQL).
    Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
    Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
    Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
    Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Familiarity with product development lifecycle, working with geographic data and analytics (ArcGIS).

    The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $160,000 to $170,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for.

    The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
