    Senior Systems Engineer to d


    esign and develop solutions to complex application problems, system administration issues and network concerns through solution architecting, provisioning, and support, by leveraging industry models and frameworks, formulating actionable strategies that intersect business and technology and accelerating implementation through established operations and processes.

    Project manage activities for medium to large, moderate to high risk, technology-based projects from initiation to delivery.

    Work with clients, other technical staff, and vendors to develop technology architectures, requirements, project scope, solution alternatives, project plans, project deliverables, testing methodologies and costs for new system implementations.

    Adhere to BHSF IT project methodology.

    Act as technical lead or team member on IT projects providing consistent and comprehensive status reports, project updates, issue management, and communication with business lines and technology management levels.

    Provide the necessary recommendations as required to maintain the standards established by the Enterprise Client/Server Technologies (ECST) area.

    Create and maintain server build and disaster recovery documentation to ensure standardization of server provisioning as well as to provide business continuity and recovery to the enterprise.

    Utilize and apply advanced system design skills, technical standards and tools for system implementations and/or system process improvements (e.g. client/server software installation, software automation, etc.).

    Provide advanced technical and application support for internal and external clients for assigned systems of medium to high complexity and risk.

    Evaluate performance, diagnose root causes of system failures, determine solutions and workarounds, and drive system related issues to resolution on various platforms such as UNIX and Microsoft Windows Server.

    Document troubleshooting steps, changes, and resolutions following established guidelines, policies and procedures. Apply desktop operating system principles, architectures, and design for successful completion of tasks and projects. Assist with testing and documentation of workstation related hardware, software, and peripherals. Provide design ideas/recommendations for projects, tasks, and processes.

    Apply advanced system design methods to new project implementations and infrastructure redesigns incorporating key system design factors such as high availability and fault tolerance.

    Create, maintain, and follow policies and procedures in order to ensure the highest possible level of standards for achieving compliance obligations for the systems engineering team and in terms of SOX, HIPAA, and other industry standard practices, auditing, and regulatory requirements.

    Provide cross-training, in-services, and knowledge transfer as needed. Mentor, support and coach systems engineers' levels 1 through 3. Identify areas for improvement and take the initiative to address or make corrections. Work closely with supervisor/manager to evaluate and recommend new processes, technologies, vendor relationships, budgeting considerations and strategic direction.

    Qualifications:

    Must have


    Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field (US or foreign equivalent) (**The employer will accept education equivalency as determined by a qualified credentials evaluator in accordance with 8 CFR 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(D).

    5 yrs. exp. in Information Technology or a related field. 5 yrs. exp.

    in a largescale enterprise environment w/ mgt & support of Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktop Technologies (formerly XenApp & XenDesktop), Citrix Netscaler, and VMware Horizon View including (a) Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp (both imaged and standalone) in a multi-domain, multi-region environment with remote access availability; (b) Publishing, supporting, troubleshooting application and desktops Via Citrix in an enterprise environment; (c) Virtual Apps (formerly XenApp) or Virtual Desktop (formerly XenDesktop) Architecture on 7.15 LTSR, 1912 or later; (d) Migration experience of legacy Citrix XenApp\\XenDesktop to latest Citrix XenDesktop architecture (e.g., 1912 LTSR or later) and\\or to VMware Horizon View environment or vice versa; (e) Management of Citrix Gateways in NetScaler (12.0 or above) and updating firmware version and troubleshooting issues related to NetScaler and its components; (f) Configuring and managing a VMware Horizon View environment (6.0 onwards) in an enterprise setting; (g) Managing Citrix infrastructure components including storefront, license server, profile management single handedly; (h) Creating and updating vDisk in Citrix provisioning services; (i) Patch and security vulnerability management across Citrix XenApp infrastructure including Microsoft patching and Citrix roll-up pack updates; (j) Management and maintenance of Windows Server OS (i.e.

    2008, 2012, 2016), and Desktop OS (e.g. Windows 10) in a XenApp and XenDesktop infrastructure; (k) Scripting language (PowerShell/VBS) and automation; (l) VMware vSphere (e.g. ESXi 6.5) or/and VM management on hypervisor environment; (m) Troubleshooting at a level 3 in Citrix VDI\\XenDesktop and VMWare view environment
