    Job Description:

    Z-Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, seeks an Electrician for our location in Killeen, TX. Reporting to the Construction Manager this position will perform various electrical-related duties throughout the plant.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform skilled and semi-skilled laboring duties related to the electrical scope
    • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
    • Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures
    • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
    • Construct or fabricate parts, using hand tools, according to specifications.
    • Follow and implement safety and quality control programs
    • Other duties as assigned

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • Licensed Electrician/Journeyman
    • 5+ years electrical experience

    SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    • Ability to work unsupervised
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, specifications, etc.
    • Knowledge and usage of measuring and testing devices, hand and power tools
    • Basic math abilities
    • Mechanical aptitude
    • Strong problem solving and organizational skills
    • Uncompromising commitment to safety
    • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with other team members

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bend, twist, stoop, sit, kneel, crawl, push and pull. Able to reach in all directions
    • Successful completion of a post-offer hair follicle drug test, physical and background check
    • Other physical requirements as needed for job
    • Legally eligible to work in the United States
    • Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role
    • Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy
