- Senior Pharmacy Underwriter - 5-7years
- Pharmacy Underwriter II - 3 years of experience
- Pharmacy Underwriter I - 2 years of experience
- Previous self-funded pharmacy pricing experience preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of insurance concepts, underwriting, rating techniques and risk evaluation is required.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight timeframes.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills as well as the ability to recognize, research and resolve discrepancies and effectively communicate results and recommendations is required.
- Must be detail oriented and skilled in problem solving. Must have strong interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication.
- Advanced competency in Excel is required and familiarity with underwriting technology and support systems preferred.
- Has a strong knowledge of risk assessment, pharmacy marketplace conditions and competitive landscape

Job Summary
Senior Underwriter for the Self-Funded Pharmacy department prepares, reviews, and uses underwriting risk assessment techniques to develop customer and prospective customer-specific self-funded pharmacy pricing.
Job Duties
•Establishes supporting documentation for analysis and make recommendations and/or pricing decisions internally to underwriting management, Sales, and Pharmacy and Underwriting senior management.
•Attends and co-leads internal, customer and broker dialogues to provide consultative support and recommendations based on the client or prospect specific considerations.
•Completes and reviews Requests for Proposals (RFPs) by answering all relevant financial questions and populating case-specific pricing.
•Assists more junior underwriters in meeting department needs and developing skills.
