    Summary:

    Coordinates activities in calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain and record financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records by performing the following duties. Ability to review and resolve complex member issues. Strong general knowledge of all areas of credit union services.

    Compensation:

    Salary range between $43,000 to $55,000 yearly.

    Schedule:

    Full time employees must be available to work full time hours Monday through Friday and Saturdays as scheduled. In office 4 days a week. There's an option of remote 1 day a week Monday to Friday and remote work on Saturdays when scheduled on Saturdays.

    Monday-Friday: 7:30am-4pm.

    Saturday (when scheduled): 8:45am-12:15pm.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assists members and other credit union personnel by phone, email, and secure messaging, and other related questions.
    • Provides back up support to ACH Services, Share Draft Services, and Card Services areas. Back up support includes balancing and file processing.
    • Responsible for processing wires.
    • Assist with fraud detection processes. Investigates fraud claims and follows up with authorities when needed. Conducts in depth review of account related fraud claims. This includes reviewing new accounts for potential fraud threats.
    • Provides compliance support utilizing BSA tools for SAR processing.
    • Reviews various reports pertaining to Accounting Services functions.
    • Assists in processing charge back checks.
    • Responsible for locating and processing clearing differences.
    • Responsible for balancing general ledger accounts.
    • Balances clearing accounts.
    • Assists in processing stop payments. Assist members with Bill Payment inquires.
    • Assists with member feedback, as needed.
    • Other duties may be assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college with a concentration in accounting or finance or;
    • At least three years of credit union or bank experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Accredited ACH Professional certification is highly preferred; candidates without certification must obtain it within 18 months of employment. Please note that the certification test is only offered once annually in October.

    Good credit standing is also required and will be verified during pre-employment stage. Once a contingent job offer is made, a criminal background check will be completed.
