Job description
We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our team in Golden Valley, Minnesota.In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our organization while collaborating closely with HR and Finance teams.
This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment in the real estate industry.Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 400 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies.
- Manage bonus and commission payments, including calculating and verifying amounts.
- Handle multi-state payroll transactions using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
- Execute payroll-related journal entries and cash reconciliations after processing.
- Collaborate with HR to track employee changes and ensure proper payroll adjustments.
- Allocate payroll expenses to specific properties using Yardi software, ensuring accurate accounting.
- Prepare detailed payroll reports and provide insights to support financial decisions.
- Stay updated on relevant payroll regulations, including MN Paid Leave requirements.
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of payroll experience, including full-cycle payroll processing.
- Proven expertise in handling multi-state payroll operations.
- Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now for payroll management.
- Ability to process payroll for organizations with over 500 employees.
- Familiarity with accounting software, such as Yardi, for payroll allocations.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills in payroll and accounting tasks.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with HR and Finance teams.
- Knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
